Less budget. More creativity. Better growth? 🚀 What happens when your marketing budget suddenly gets cut in half? Or disappears completely? Do you stop marketing? Or do you start thinking differently? One thing I have learned over the years is that the best GTM strategies arent always the ones with the biggest budgets.Theyre the ones that understand people, build relationships and know where to focus. And sometimes, a smaller budget forces us to become better marketers. 😉 Next week, Im joining PipeRocket Digital LIVE on The Growth Show to talk about smart GTM decisions, events, paid marketing and how to make every euro count. And yes, Ive got a little challenge planned! 📅 October 27 | 10:00 AM Swedish time 👉 Join us: https://luma.com/4d76s8mo Curious question: If your marketing budget was cut by 50% tomorrow, what would you keep? #GTM #B2BMarketing #GrowthStrategy #MarketingBudget

Every lean marketing team has a channel that keeps getting funded just because it always has been. For the last two quarters, we have been writing SEO content in-house for almost every client at PipeRocket Digital, instead of relying on external writers. Most of what we produce is SEO content, not thought leadership. Our SEO team already knows the query, intent, funnel stage, competitors and what we want the reader to do. But once we started doing this ourselves, we realised writing wasn't the difficult part. Getting enough context about the client's product, customers and market was. We can analyse SERPs, competitors, Reddit and industry reports. AI makes that faster too. But most of what we find is still information that already exists on the internet. The information we wanted was inside the company. Sales knows why they lost deals to a competitor and what objections they hear every week. Customer Success knows what customers struggle with after using the product. Product has learnings from building for the markets that probably never made it to the website. We tried the usual sources: sales recordings, demo calls, product docs, sales decks, case studies and internal knowledge bases. They helped, but we were still missing depth. So we started interviewing the people closest to these problems: Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing and founders. For some clients, we now collect 10 to 20+ hours of these conversations as part of the content process. These aren't generic product onboarding calls. We pick specific topics and keep digging into actual situations. Why did you lose that deal? What does the buyer usually misunderstand? Where is your competitor genuinely better? What question keeps coming up in demos? What have you learned after solving this problem repeatedly? Give us an actual customer example. This is where we started finding information we would never get from normal SEO research. Sometimes it is a small detail about how a customer works, the exact language Sales keeps hearing, an edge case, an opinion from Product or a completely different way an SME explains the problem. We combine these conversations with ICP research, positioning, competitor battlecards, customer stories, product knowledge, internal research and our SEO data. This becomes the context layer our team writes from. And after trying this format, we could clearly see the quality of the content improving. I see a lot of discussion around not scaling AI content too quickly. I agree with the concern, but publishing 10 articles instead of 100 doesn't automatically make those 10 articles better. If they are still built from the same SERPs, competitor blogs and public information everyone else has access to, we are still recycling the same knowledge. For us, the bigger question now is: how do we continuously bring more first party knowledge into the content before we scale it? AI has made content production easier. I think the next problem SEO teams need to solve is building a better context layer behind it.

“Revenue alignment” appears in almost every strategy deck. But much less in the way the companies actually operate. Many organisations settle for a shared Slack channel and a monthly sync, while Sales, Marketing and Product continue to work as three separate departments with different priorities, plans and definitions of success. I believe there’s a much better way. On September 30, I’m joining PipeRocket Digital's Show to unpack how to build Sales, Marketing and Product as one connected growth system, Sparketing 💫 . We’ll get practical about shared priorities, clear ownership, operating rhythms and what it really takes to move from polite coordination to true GTM alignment. Plenty of real learnings and lessons from building and leading teams through it. Come if you’re tired of talking about alignment and ready to make it work in practice. (And bring the spicy questions! 😀🌶️ ) September 30 | 11:00 AM CEST / 2:30 PM IST / 9:00 AM GMT Register here: https://luma.com/ccwb9ksy P.S. Photo from our Revenue Team Kickoff the other week in Oslo with Andreas Sjölund and the amazing team Omnium, where Sales and Marketing work as one and Revenue alignment runs deep throughout the organization. ❤️🔥

Most companies think alignment means a shared Slack channel and a monthly sync. Real alignment looks nothing like that. Johanna Fagerstedt, Founder & CEO at Sparketing has built a genuine culture of collaboration between sales, product, and marketing, teams that actually operate as one system, not three departments politely coexisting. In this session of The Growth Show, she's breaking down exactly how, the structural changes, the cultural shifts, and the mistakes that quietly kill alignment before it starts.
