Planning an infrastructure refresh in the next 12 months? Your budget assumptions may already be out of date. That makes access to current market insight more valuable. PFH Technology Group and Hewlett Packard Enterprise are bringing Irish IT & Finance leaders together for Smart IT Strategies for the Memflation Era, with breakfast sessions in Cork, Galway and Dublin from 8–10 September. The aim is simple: give you a clearer view of what other organisations are seeing, how the market is moving, and where you may need to adjust your own plans. You’ll leave with practical insight into: • What is happening in the market and what to expect next. • How consumption-based IT can give you more flexibility than committing upfront to a capital figure that may already be out of date. • How to size infrastructure more realistically, so you are not paying today for capacity you may not need until 2028. You’ll also have the opportunity to compare approaches with peers facing similar planning pressures and hear directly from Andy Steven, Siobhan Foley, Davin Cody and Stephen O'Herlihy, experienced specialists working with Irish organisations at the forefront of these infrastructure challenges. A third of data projects die before production. RAND put a number on it after reviewing 65 enterprise initiatives: 33.8% abandoned before they ever went live, another 28.4% shipped without delivering the value promised. Gartner traces most of it back to data foundations that were never ready. Carbery Group started at the foundation. Eight sites, more than fifty markets, and finance, R&D and sales each calculating the same metrics differently. "Faster, more dependable insights, and genuine adoption of data and analytics across our global teams." Kieran O'Mahony, Global Analytics Lead, Carbery Read the case study.

Fabric suits Microsoft-first businesses. Carbery was one. Fabric earns its place when an organisation already runs Power BI, Azure and Dynamics, and wants governed reporting without a separate BI tool underneath it. Multi-cloud shops and heavy data science teams often land somewhere else, and that is a reasonable answer too. Carbery Group fitted the first description. Data spread across systems inherited through successive acquisitions, reports assembled by hand, and no consistent view of performance across the US, Europe and Asia. Is Microsoft Fabric is the right call,
