We had the data. We just needed to connect it. Open Systems manages devices and services for customers around the world, which means a huge amount of security data flows through our platform every day. But each service only looked at its own data. Signals that could have revealed an attacker sat in isolation and were never correlated. That gap is where Project Argus started. We asked Senior Engineer Luca Galli why closing it matters more now than ever. Attackers are faster and more sophisticated, increasingly using AI, and no human team can manually make sense of that much data in time. And Project Argus was built to bring those signals together and spot attackers earlier, for us and for our customers. ▶️ Watch Luca explain the problem behind Project Argus. Where is your security data still working in silos?

AI transformation starts with people. At Open Systems, we’re changing how we develop and improve our products through what we call Spearhead Teams: small, end-to-end teams of four people. Each team is given space to experiment, free to move quickly, challenge assumptions, develop new products and improve existing ones. Leadership plays a different role in this model. Instead of slowing teams down with layers of decision-making, we work to remove the barriers that hold them back – whether that be resources, compliance or other constraints. Because innovation needs people who are given the space to push further and take risks. For our CEO Dennis Monner, the central question is: What is possible? What can we do next? It’s a different way of working that will guide us through the next quarter. If you want to learn more about what we are changing inside Open Systems, visit us at our booth 6-320 Hall 6 at this year’s it-sa in Nuremberg!

📍 Live from SREcon26 EMEA in Dublin At 14:40 GMT today, Oct 14th our Staff Engineer Raphael Thomas Seebacher takes the stage with “It’s About Time.” He will be sharing a blueprint for running resilient, authenticated NTP across 10,000+ nodes, based on real production experience at Open Systems. The talk covers how time sync fails silently, how to monitor for it, how to deploy Network Time Security, and what the 2038 epochalypse means for your fleet. If you’re at the The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD), come say hello. If you’re not, follow our page to get the key takeaways after the session and contact Raphael Thomas Seebacher if you're curious about his topic!

The most capable cyber attacker of 2026 wasn’t a person. It wasn’t even trying to be malicious. It just wanted the answers to its task Watch the video 👇

This week we’re in London for Capacity Europe 🇬🇧 Most network incidents still get diagnosed by reading configs and hoping they match reality. We think that’s over. At the show, we’re introducing the AI Matrix: a team of named AI operators, each with one job, trained on 35 years of real operational data. For this crowd, meet our agent Theseus. He follows any packet along the path it actually took, through firewall, tunnel, SD-WAN and backbone, and finds the root cause. Even when it’s a carrier-side route flap, not your policy. One question instead of a day of console-hopping. And when a change is needed, a Level-3 engineer approves it. AI-run. Human-backed. 📍 InterContinental London – The O2 | 13–15 October Talk to Sefki Demir, Jeroen Wisse, Gareth Morris and Brad F. at Capacity Europe, London, October 13–15.

Mission Control is no longer behind the scenes. Now our customers can watch it work. On October 1, we launched our new Customer Portal: a live, personalized view into the services, AI agents and operational data behind each customer environment. The challenge wasn’t adding more information. It was making a complex platform immediately useful – even if you’re not an expert in every service we run for you. So our team began with one question: If I were the customer, what would I need the moment I logged in? Here’s what they built 👇
