The FIFA Club World Cup final was watched around the world, but at the same time, thousands of completely different evenings were taking place. Some people watched it from their sofa, some from crowded city spaces. Others from airports, holiday apartments or neighbourhood bars. The match was global, but the experience was very #local. "As one of FIFA's global partners, Coca-Cola wanted to create something special around the final," says Karina Jonane, Sales and Marketing Manager at O'Learys Latvia. "Our role was to bring that idea to life locally by creating an evening that started well before the first whistle, with football quizzes, challenges and prizes that gave fans another reason to come together." Global brands can reach almost everyone, but they can't be everywhere. The moments people actually remember don't happen somewhere "globally". They happen in real places, surrounded by familiar faces, shared reactions and conversations that continue long after the match ends. That's where local #partners quietly become essential. "Every venue has its own rhythm," says Keita Krūmiņa, Project Manager at VA Communications. "You learn when people arrive, what gets them talking before the match and what makes them stay after the final whistle. Places like O'Learys already have that natural connection with sports fans. Our role is simply to become part of an evening people were already looking forward to." The campaign itself may be identical in dozens of countries, but the #context never is. Those details rarely appear in a marketing campaign brief, yet they're often what make an international initiative feel natural rather than imported. Football fans in Latvia don't gather in exactly the same way as they do in Spain or Brazil. They arrive at different times, order different food, react differently to the game and celebrate in their own way. It didn't feel like Coca-Cola came with a global campaign. It felt like football fans had been given one more reason to enjoy a match night they would have been looking forward to anyway. And perhaps that's the real value of #collaborations like these. They don't make a global event bigger. They make it feel local.

Some of the most important people in entertainment are the ones guests never see. Every day, across O'Learys venues in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, our guests enjoy memorable experiences. But behind every smooth game is a team making sure everything works exactly as it should. Every single day. Bowling lanes are maintained, balls are prepared and countless technical details are taken care of long before the first strike of the day. We often say that quality lives in the details. On our busiest days, those details matter even more. This week, two of our bowling mechanics - Nerijus from Lithuania and Oleksii from Latvia had the chance to meet in person. They exchanged knowledge, shared professional insights. Judging by the photo, they have more in common than just their profession. Can you see it too? 🧔♂️🧔♂️ Jokes aside, we're incredibly proud of the people working behind the scenes to ensure every guest enjoys the best possible experience. Being a bowling mechanic is a highly specialized profession that demands technical expertise and precision. We're fortunate to have such skilled professionals across our O'Learys team, led by Kasparas Jonaitis. Thank you to everyone working behind the scenes, your work may not always be visible, but it's the reason our guests can simply focus on having fun. 🥳

Every business has a season it quietly worries about. For indoor venues, it's summer. The sun comes out. Holidays begin. Terraces fill up. Suddenly, staying inside isn't the obvious choice anymore. Or maybe that's the wrong way to look at it. People don't stop looking for places to spend time together in summer. They simply look for different reasons to gather. Trying to compete with the weather is a losing game - you can't outshine the sun or outdo a warm evening outdoors. When businesses frame summer as something to fight against, they often end up offering more of the same, just louder. But summer doesn't need to be resisted. The real challenge is to stay relevant when people's routines change, and to fit naturally into the moments they are already seeking. School holidays? Families start searching for activities that keep children busy for more than an hour. That's why we’ve become a popular stop for organised summer groups and camps, where children come in for bowling sessions paired with simple meal options – giving organisers an easy, ready-made activity and kids something they’ll actually remember. Football season? Instead of trying to pull people away from the stadiums, we leaned into it and joined the moment through our collaboration with FK Žalgiris, creating a dedicated match-day snack plate inspired by the club’s identity. At the same time, we introduced bundled offers tailored for football watch parties – combining food and drinks into simple, ready-made options that make it easier for groups to settle in and focus on the match rather than the menu. Hot weather? People order differently. This summer we came across a drink we genuinely liked and decided to adapt it to Baltic tastes – taking the familiar base and adding kvass to give it a flavour that feels closer to home. Not because the menu needed another drink, but because summer tastes different. And when groups do get together, nobody wants to spend twenty minutes deciding what to order. That's why our sharing platters and food bundles become some of the easiest decisions of the evening. Our guests consistently choose these options and appreciate how simple it makes the experience - as easy as summer should be. "Summer doesn't make people less social – if anything, it's when people are most eager to get together," says Jolanta Purė, Chief Marketing Officer Baltics at O'Learys. "What changes is what they're looking for. Our job isn't to convince people to come indoors. It's to give them a reason that feels natural for the season they're in." We'd love to tell you our summer success comes down to clever partnerships, seasonal products and understanding customer behaviour. And sometimes it does. But then, on some July afternoons, the temperature hits 30°C… ...and suddenly, the air conditioning becomes our most convincing business strategy. ;)

Some people join a team and make you wonder how you ever managed without them. For us, that person is Agnė V., our Digital Project Manager for the Baltics. More than a year ago, we found the missing puzzle piece we had been searching for. The fit? Effortless. Agnė is the definition of a team player. Strong-willed, endlessly curious, highly professional, and grounded by genuine kindness. She has a sharp eye for details, whether it's a CRM issue, a website update, a perfectly brewed coffee, a great restaurant recommendation, or a film worth watching. Her work style? As she describes it herself: "chaotic perfectionism". The kind of person who color-codes Excel files while still naming them "final_FINAL_v7_REAL.xlsx". In her role, Agnė keeps countless digital projects moving forward - from CRM and website improvements to chatbot implementation, campaign coordination, and everything in between. She believes that logic can solve almost anything and that there is rarely a true "no" - only a different way forward. What many people don't see immediately is that outside of work, she's just as impressive. Ceramics, renovation projects, woodworking, crafts, countryside life - if there's something to build, fix, create, or learn, chances are Agnė is already doing it. A true one-person orchestra. And while she claims to be one of the least social people in the room, reality keeps proving otherwise. Just last week, we hosted colleagues from Latvia and Estonia, and thanks to her initiative and 100% commitment, they got the full Vilnius experience - from iconic landmarks and hidden foodie gems to the city's evening vibe. By the end of the visit, they probably knew Vilnius better than some locals. Reliable. Dedicated. Resourceful. Always all-in. We're lucky to have Agnė on the team - and even luckier that she keeps surprising us. #TeamOLearys #EmployeeSpotlight #DigitalProjects #TeamSpirit #PeopleBehindTheBrand

For years, the O, Dangau! sports podcast has been recording episodes at our venue in Vilnius. It simply found a natural habitat. Sports podcast. Sports bar. Done. The strongest collaborations are sometimes the most obvious ones. When the same people who spend their evenings discussing football are also the ones listening to football podcasts on their way to work, very little needs to be manufactured. What started as a convenient filming location gradually became part of the podcast itself. Not in a visible way, but in the way long-term collaborations often do. Familiar faces. A real sports bar carrying on daily business around the cameras. Guests watching games, staff moving through their day, the occasional social media shoot happening somewhere in the background. "We spend so much time at O'Learys that it genuinely feels like a second home for the whole team," says Tomas Langvinis, producer of O, Dangau! "When you're recording regularly, the environment becomes part of the process. The team knows us, we know them, and everything simply works. That allows us to focus on what matters the most – creating content." By 2025, O, Dangau! had surpassed 5 million views, making it one of the largest sports content channels in Lithuania. Even more impressive, the average viewer spends 18 minutes with a single episode – a proof that in a world of endless scrolling, sports fans are still willing to stay for a meaningful conversation. It’s even more obvious as O, Dangau! expanded beyond a single podcast into one of Lithuania's growing sports content platforms. Euroleague discussions, football analysis, Formula 1 weekends, live reaction formats – much of the content revolves around the same moments that bring people to us in the first place. The podcast discusses the matches. The sports bar lives through them. It's a reminder that the strongest partnerships don't always introduce audiences to something new. Sometimes they simply make an existing experience richer: the podcast gives sports fans more reasons to stay engaged between matches, and we give those same fans a place to continue the conversation when the matches begin. In the end, neither the podcast nor the venue had to change. They simply belonged in the same conversation. And we discovered it rather than created.
