NNPC Claims has seen an increase in bunker quality disputes, driven in part by disrupted supply arrangements around the Strait of Hormuz. Key advice: agree fuel specifications (ISO 8217) in advance, review supplier terms for short time bars, and act promptly when quality issues arise—preserving samples, BDNs, and lab results. Early involvement of the Club helps preserve evidence and prevent wider claims like machinery damage or delays.
