Over the past 15 years, Naval Group has been working with more than 20 companies and is in relation with almost 50 companies in Denmark. To further enhance this strong partnership, Naval Group signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with trusted partners on October 21: - Copenhagen Global A/S for drones, autonomous systems and military payloads, - Saab Denmark for communication equipment, - SH Defence for R&D activities regarding the design and the manufacturing of containerized mission modules, Launch and Recovery System (LARS) for drones and diving equipment. These new agreements develop and reinforce the long-lasting cooperation between Naval Group and Denmark’s maritime industry. 📸 Ambassade de France au Danemark 🇫🇷

In September, Naval Group travelled to Denmark for an Industry Tour focused on engaging with local innovators. Companies such as Teledyne Marine, J.A. Solutions A/S, Sky-Watch A/S, MyDefence, Everllence, C.C.JENSEN, and Silentor A/S were part of the itinerary. This trip had three main objectives: - Connect with new innovative entities within the defence industry, - Tour manufacturers that are part of Naval Group’s supplier network, - Explore business opportunities, such as the FDI and the future of drones. Naval Group is eager to strengthen the relationships formed during this trip and to work alongside both established and new Danish partners.

Naval Group further develops its ties with the Swedish Defence and Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB), to enhance our supply chain in Sweden. This week, our teams met with representatives from Airolit, Frost Unmanned, Lidan Marine AB , Visgrid AB and Systematic. We want to expand our partnerships with existing Swedish suppliers and into forging new ones for surface or under the surface warfare, such as part of our offer to Sweden for combat-ready defence and intervention frigates (FDI). Through collaboration with an increasing number of Swedish companies and research centres, we aim to drive mutually beneficial innovations, share long term economic growth and fulfil common objectives in support of Europe’s security.

As France and Sweden celebrate an additional year of their strategic partnership, Naval Group plays its part in strengthening bilateral ties. Naval Group and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to reinforce our research collaboration. The purpose is to identify key topics, develop maritime innovations and scale-up industrial solutions: hydrodynamics, naval architecture, digital maritime systems, autonomous systems… Both RISE and Naval Group are already part of consortia that have been awarded European Defense Fund projects. Past fruitful cooperations led us to take our partnership to the next level, to deepen our complementary expertise at the service of Europe’s naval and technological sovereignty.

Following the signature of an MoU earlier this year, Naval Group’s Lorient and Brest teams welcomed the Swedish company Oresund Dry Docks AB, our partner for the maintenance and service support as part of our FDI offer to Sweden. We exchanged insights on best practices to optimise maintenance operations and reduce the frigate’s downtime, to ensure the best operational availability. This requirement has been integrated from the design phase of the FDI. We also presented to Oresund’s teams our innovative building process for the FDI, which has allowed us to accelerate our delivery rate to two frigates per year.
