💡 𝗨𝗻𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 Cell painting uses fluorescent dyes to monitor drug responses, but dyes can introduce cellular stress and alter the very biology researchers aim to observe. These artifacts can distort the interpretation of drug efficacy and safety. At Nanolive, we go beyond dyes; real-time, label-free, AI-powered imaging that keeps cells healthy while delivering continuous, multiparametric insights into their true biology. With Nanolive’s assays, you can perform truly unbiased drug screening, capturing real-time physiological responses without the confounding effects of phototoxicity. 👉 Download our label-free phenotyping 1-pager to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eEKbW78N 📌 In this video, unlabeled cells divide and grow normally, while cells stained with MitoGreen show stress and death, and those stained with both MitoGreen and LysosomeFarRed deteriorate even faster. When studying complex phenotypes, only a non-invasive, dye-free approach reveals the complete picture without bias. #CellPainting #PhenotypicScreening #Innovation

𝗗𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸? 🧋 Pinocytosis is the process where fluid matter coming from the outside of the cell is taken up by the cell, also known as cell drinking. A form of endocytosis, its main biological purpose is to absorb extracellular fluids (ECF) containing solutes like sugars or proteins, but it is also involved in cell immunity. This video highlights the detail of Nanolive's label-free imaging, and is a great example of the dynamic cell processes that can be captured. We can see the cell membrane extending, capturing liquid and forming a macropinosome . Once at the cytoplasm, the macropinosome fuses with a lysosome. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻 🎯 In this video, we see one CAR-T cell single-handedly killing 7 cancer cells in 7 hours! Triggering apoptosis after a brief interaction, the T cell swiftly migrates from target to target. Despite the T cell’s success, one cancer cell still manages to resist, and it is this variation that requires us to research and understand T cells better, to ensure the success of immunotherapies. This video was captured using Nanolive’s label-free imaging platform, which allows the capture of dynamic cell behavior at high resolution, without phototoxicity. You can replay our webinar to hear Dr Roddy O'Connor, Ph.D. from UPenn discuss this video and CAR-T engineering here: https://lnkd.in/dpKbZk7k #Immunooncology #CART #CancerResearch

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Join scientists from MIT, Mass General Hospital and Harvard Medical School as they share their research into immune cell engineering and ferroptosis in cancer cells. In this seminar co-hosted by Nanolive and the Nanowell Cytometry Platform MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, explore real-world applications in cancer cell death and immune engineering, featuring Nanolive’s label-free live cell imaging. First hosted earlier this year, you can now catch up with the seminar online: https://bit.ly/4dnnMRa 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙂𝙡𝙮𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙭 Sangwoo Park, PhD - Instructor, Mass General Hospital & Harvard Medical School 𝘼 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙨: 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡-𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙄𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 Ryan Mansell - Graduate Student, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, MIT In this video, captured by Ryan, ferroptotic cell death spreads through cell cultures like a wave. From the discovery of ferroptosis in 2012, it took 12 more years for this propagation pattern to be discovered and published, which begs the question- what else are we missing when using static endpoints to study studying dynamic processes like cell death? #cancerresearch #oncology #innovation

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 With Nanolive’s Smart Mitochondrial Assay LIVE, you can now automatically monitor and quantify dynamic mitochondrial changes in real-time, from individual mitochondria to entire cell populations, without the need for fluorophores or dyes. Discover more about our novel mitochondrial analysis tool here: https://lnkd.in/e5uGc5FF In this footage, witness the dynamic behavior of mitochondria in dividing mesenchymal stem cells. Using Nanolive’s AI-powered, label-free Smart Mitochondrial Assay LIVE, mitochondria have been accurately identified and digitally stained in multiple colors. Before division, mitochondria appear dispersed and begin shortening as part of the fission process. During cell division, mitochondria fragment further into smaller units, ensuring equal distribution between the two daughter cells. Following division, mitochondrial fusion occurs, and the mitochondria acquire an elongated, interconnected, and branched network morphology. #AI #innovation #biotechnology
