How to get precision mineralogical data on your full drill campaign quickly ? Live webinar for Exploration Managers and Chief Geologists September 03rd · ~35 minutes + Live Q&A · Free Mineralogy is getting more important for exploration projects. Ore bodies are getting more complex. Investors at every stage get more sophisticated, and exploration is getting more expensive. This brings mineralogical data into focus - but right now it is hard to come by, the methods are expensive, slow, and sometimes the data cannot answer the question. For questions with regards to phases below 1 wt%, or that require more data, there is a new and better solution. Using particle accelerators, your rejects can be turned into precision mineralogy within a few weeks. You can send 10 to 10,000 samples and get answers on trace minerals and even some clays as low as 0.1wt%. The best part - it can be done quickly and affordably. In case you are dealing with a high amount of amorphous phases, there can be ways to learn more about them, too. In ~35 minutes we'll show you plainly what synchrotron XRD can answer — and what it can't: What it does and does not solve What it needs as input sample What it needs as input data How it works How you can use it What it costs How fast you can expect results You will leave able to make an informed decision on mine-scale mineralogical analytics. The Q&A is open - bring the drill campaign mineralogy question you would like to get real data on. Speakers from Momentum Transfer : Dr. Bernd Hinrichsen, Mineralogist, Dr. Sebastian Winkler, Physicist, and Callum Clark, Geologist Can't attend? Register and you'll get the recording either way.

Understanding mineralogy is essential in establishing and running a mine. Until now it has been slow, complicated, and prohibitively expensive to get mineralogical data over the full ore body. Not anymore. Now you can get precision mineralogy as easily and in the same cost range as chemical assays. In this webinar, you learn how the technology works, how you can access it, and how you can use it.

Last Call: Free Synchrotron PXRD & TS-PDF Measurements at ESRF In 2024 we started the Materials Scattering Network project—backed by EU OSCARS funding—to build an open database for X-ray powder diffraction data. The project included funding for 3,000 measurements to support the global research community, which were completed by mid-2025. We didn’t stop there. Since then, we have continued funding X-ray powder diffraction and total scattering pair distribution function analysis measurements on 5 samples for each new researcher to join our project. The numbers so far: - 700+ researchers supported - from 79 different countries - 3,500+ samples measured - 7,000+ datasets delivered—free of charge - 60+ published works, with many more in progress Access to the database will launch later this year, but this free measurement initiative is now coming to an end. What this means for you: New and existing users can still measure their first 5 samples for free, but samples must arrive before the ESRF summer shutdown starting on the 28th of July. After that, only paid measurements will be available, at rates we are proud to keep affordable. Already registered but haven't sent samples yet? Now is the time. Log in and submit your sample list before the end of July: www.momentum-transfer.com Our ongoing paid service: We provide ambient-condition synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), total scattering for pair distribution function (PDF) analysis, and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) for advanced materials, pharmaceuticals, mineralogical samples, and everything in-between. Costs range from €55 to €300 per measurement, depending on order volume and whether you need proprietary or FAIR data. All data processing and storage is covered, and advanced data analysis is available as an add-on service. We offer phase quantification (e.g. for mineralogical samples), Rietveld refinement (for detailed structure characterization), pair distribution function analysis (for amorphous and nanostructured materials) and more as an add on service. Whether you want to claim your free measurements before the August deadline or get started with the Momentum Transfer service for larger measurement campaigns, registration is the first step either way.
