🚲 Beyond GPS: How Connected E-Bikes Are Changing Fleet Management Knowing where an e-bike is only tells part of the story. For fleet operators, knowing how it’s being used, whether it’s generating revenue and what condition it’s in can make a real difference to the business. We look at how Van der Linde, a family-run rental business, and Friiway, a premium e-bike subscription platform in the US, are using Bosch eBike Systems' connected e-bike technology to tackle everyday fleet challenges. 🇳🇱 Van der Linde compares bike movement with rental records to identify unregistered rentals and recover lost revenue. 🇺🇸 friiway has improved bike recovery and reduced its reported theft loss rate, helping protect the value of its premium e-bike fleet. Connected data also helps operators check battery condition and provide buyers with more information when refurbished bikes are resold. These examples show how connected e-bikes can help operators manage costs, protect their assets, and get more value from each bike throughout its working life. https://lnkd.in/grUwjx8H

Ryde Expands Its E-Bikes Fleet Across Europe 🚲 Ryde Technology is adding e-bikes to its shared micromobility fleet in Germany and Sweden, with more cities in the Nordics next in line. The Norwegian operator has launched e-bikes in Wuppertal, Lübeck and Helsingborg, with Växjö, Malmö, Asker and Bærum expected to follow. Riders can find both e-scooters and e-bikes in the same Ryde app, using the same account, pricing and passes. The move builds on Ryde’s e-bike trials and plans shared earlier this year. The company now aims to make e-bikes a bigger part of its fleet, with a long-term goal of ordering as many e-bikes as e-scooters within a few years. We look at why Ryde is making the shift, how cities are shaping its rollout and what it means for the company’s move towards a multimodal shared mobility model. https://lnkd.in/g-b-_9MQ
