Three wins, two countries, and we're still catching our breath. Fresh from our wins at the European Agency Awards in Ibiza on Tuesday, part of the team headed to the Global Search Awards in Dublin last night, where LOCOMOTIVE was named Best Global Large Integrated Search Agency. This one means a lot. The judges don't assess a single campaign or channel. They look at the whole business: our people, our client work, how we operate and, above all, how well we integrate search across everything we do. That makes this a win for everyone of us at LOCOMOTIVE, and for the clients who trust us to drive their growth. Congratulations to everyone shortlisted alongside us, and thank you to the judges! #GlobalSearchAwards2026

Your buyers are already researching before they ever walk a stand. Here's what one precision ABM programme did for an Irish medtech company expanding across EMEA, and the team you'll meet if you stop by ours.

It's giving Duolingo, but for CMO's & CFO's trying to understand each other. 💅 This is everything your CFO wishes you’d say instead of “impressions increased 40%”. I've gone to reporting meetings armed with my MQL numbers and my impression metrics before and been told that those number doesn't matter. And there are so many ways to break down that statement but ultimately it's true. MQLs don't matter ... unless you can tie them back to moving a revenue needle somewhere. It's tough being a marketing leader lately, you have to be an expert in everything from market entry and positioning to data analytics and machine learning, all while having to defend your teams value (no, you cannot replace us all with AI). But hopefully this guide can help. You don't even need to give me your email to access it, just download it, use it the next time you're speaking to your CFO about marketing's influence on the big bucks. Okay thanks! A quick SEO win that doesn't get talked about much: optimizing PDFs. Ecommerce sites that sell parts usually have tons of them, spec sheets, manuals, datasheets, and they mostly get left alone. We took one client's PDFs and treated them properly, and the clicks to those files went up. Two things we did here at LOCOMOTIVE Agency, both done in bulk with Python: - Compressed the files. Some went from 1MB down to 200KB. - Rewrote the metadata. We pulled the text out of each PDF and used it to write real titles instead of whatever was there before. The heatmap shows it per file, one PDF per row. After the optimization the rows get greener, which is just more clicks. If you've got a pile of PDFs you've never touched, it's worth a look.

B2B SaaS and I are on a break. 💔 Late last year, I walked away from marketing in an industry I'd worked in for ten years. I was tired. Really tired. SaaS marketing teams are under more pressure to deliver than ever, with fewer resources than ever. If I had to hear one more leader say "do more with less" or "AI can do that", I would have screamed. Leadership wants more MQLs. Sales won't stop grumbling about quality. And the marketers stuck in the middle feel that squeeze more than anyone. So I started wondering: could I actually quantify how understaffed these teams are? Put a cold, hard number to the problem? Turns out, you can. I modelled the average monthly workload for a 5-person marketing team at a $10M ARR SaaS company: → 295 hours of work required per month → 40 hours of productive capacity available (after meetings, reporting, context switching, etc) → 255 hours unmet. Every single month. That's a 7.4× deficit. And it's not a people problem. It's a structure problem. The scope of modern B2B marketing (content, SEO, demand gen, paid, social, sales enablement, events, deep AI knowledge, reporting) was never designed to fit inside a small in-house team without something breaking. You know your team is stretched. This maths backs them up. I built the Capacity Gap Calculator to help marketing leaders put an actual number on it, use it, plug in your own numbers. It's useful if you're heading into a budget or headcount conversation. Link in comments. ⬇️
