How does trust in Kubota tractors grow from one generation to the next? In 2025, Vietnam was the world's second-largest rice exporter by volume. In the Mekong Delta, where two or three rice crops a year are common, rice farming has long supported farmers' livelihoods and the local economy. Farmland has been passed down from parents to children. In a Kubota documentary, one farming family in the region shared their journey with Kubota spanning over 20 years. The son began helping his father in the fields at age 9 and first drove a tractor at 14. His trust in the tractors came from their durability and years of watching his father work with them. His father had inherited the land from his own father. He remembered when cattle and water buffalo were used for plowing. Kubota tractors, he explained, allowed the family to plow more land each day and earn more income. He hoped to hand the farm over to his son and enjoy retirement. The son, in turn, wanted to expand the family's rice fields. His eldest son could already drive a tractor, and he hoped his sons would continue #RiceFarming with the support of the machinery. #CustomerStories like this show how a family's experience with machinery can build trust across generations. #ForEarthForLife

The “Miracle of Phnom Penh.” After conflict disrupted the city's water supply, the system was rebuilt and expanded, with coverage reaching about 90% by 2006. 20 years later, in 2026, a sewerage project led by Kubota Construction was recognized at the 9th Japan Construction International Award. Kubota's work on the city's water infrastructure dates back to 1959, when Kubota built the Chroy Changvar water treatment plant. However, civil conflict and shortages of funding and personnel later disrupted water services. Treatment facilities eventually resumed operation, but aging pipelines remained badly damaged. In 1994, Kubota began helping restore and expand the water supply system alongside local partners and the international community, including Japan. As Phnom Penh grew, new challenges emerged. Rapid urbanization and population growth generated more wastewater, while the natural purification capacity of lakes and wetlands declined. Alongside continued improvements in water supply, the city needed sewage treatment to protect water quality and to support sustainable development. Construction on the Project for Sewerage System Development in Phnom Penh began in 2021. It was carried out by a joint venture between Kubota Construction Co.,Ltd., a Kubota subsidiary, and METAWATER Co., Ltd. Completed in 2023, the facility was the city’s first full-scale mechanical sewage treatment plant. Operating costs and a shortage of experienced technicians were key concerns. The project used Japanese treatment technology that offered energy efficiency, a compact footprint, stable treatment performance, and easy maintenance. Hands-on training helped local technicians build the skills needed to run and maintain the facility over the long term. The award marks another milestone in a relationship spanning over 60 years. We will continue working with local communities and partners to develop #WaterInfrastructure that meets the city's changing needs and supports #WaterSecurity. #ForEarthForLife

On August 19, 2026, Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), Kubota's Indian subsidiary, held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off site preparation in Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony followed the signing of a land lease agreement for a planned new plant. EKL will continue to review details of the plant as site preparation moves forward. India is the world’s largest tractor market, with domestic sales exceeding 1 million units and demand expected to keep growing over the medium to long term. EKL plans to increase capacity while continuing production at its existing plant in Haryana. The aim is to meet growing tractor demand, support export expansion, and help grow sales of construction machinery such as cranes and backhoe loaders. Since making Escorts a subsidiary in 2022, Kubota has been working to expand its business in India. The planned capacity increase is part of these ongoing efforts, with #GlobalPartnerships helping advance local production in line with #MakeInIndia. #ForEarthForLife

When a manufacturer sets out to develop a new machine, what can Kubota's engine business contribute beyond supplying an engine? Since 1922, Kubota has developed engines in response to changing needs. One example dates back more than a decade, when Kubota's engineers worked alongside an Indian manufacturer as it developed its own sweeping machine. Roots Multiclean Ltd, part of the Roots Group, imported sweeping machines from Europe and the U.S. to help mechanize cleaning in India. But the imported machines were expensive. In the mid-2010s, to offer a more affordable option, the company began developing and manufacturing its own machines. The company chose a Kubota engine from the outset. Already familiar with Kubota engines through the imported machines, it valued their high output, fuel efficiency, durability, and global reputation. The engine’s compact size was another key factor in the decision. Kubota's involvement went beyond supplying the engine. Our engineers made repeated visits from Japan to India to discuss the machine's requirements with the team at Roots Multiclean. Together, they worked to customize the engine for the sweeping machine. The collaboration also helped Roots Multiclean's engineers deepen their knowledge and strengthen their technical skills, according to the company's managing director at the time. An engine's value lies not only in its performance but also in how seamlessly it integrates with the machine it powers. This project shows how Kubota provides tailored #EngineSolutions through #GlobalPartnerships. Our relationship with the Roots Group continues to this day through Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL). #ForEarthForLife

As demand for infrastructure development grows in India, versatile backhoe loaders are used across road, water, and irrigation projects. The BLX75K is a new backhoe loader that brings together the local expertise of Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) and Kubota's technology. EKL led the development of the BLX75K. The model combines EKL's experience developing and manufacturing backhoe loaders for the Indian market with Kubota's deep knowledge of construction machinery and engines. Together, these strengths improve the model's functionality and quality compared to previous models. A Kubota engine powers the BLX75K, providing excellent fuel efficiency and durability. Showcased at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, the BLX75K is scheduled to launch in India in January 2027. Born in the world's largest market for backhoe loaders, it represents #Innovation shaped by local needs. As we expand our construction machinery business, we aim to support the infrastructure work that helps #BuildIndia. #ForEarthForLife

Two priorities are shaping the future of agriculture: decarbonization and reducing farm labor requirements. Kubota has long pursued multiple pathways to decarbonization. What makes hydrogen fuel cells worth exploring for large agricultural machinery? As climate change impacts intensify worldwide, agriculture faces growing pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from sources such as fossil-fuel-powered machinery and rice paddies that emit methane. Kubota is therefore exploring battery-driven electrification and engines powered by hydrogen, biofuels, and synthetic fuels. At the same time, severe labor shortages are creating an urgent need for labor-saving measures. Kubota has spent years refining autonomous driving and remote operation technologies to help meet this need. Protecting the environment while sustaining food production amid labor shortages will require continued #Innovation in agriculture. Large agricultural machines require substantial energy to perform tasks over long operating hours. The high energy density of hydrogen fuel cell systems can support this sustained, high-output operation. These systems generate electricity through a chemical reaction, emitting no CO₂ during operation and leaving water as their only byproduct. Quick refueling is another reason Kubota sees hydrogen fuel cells as one option for large tractors. The autonomous FC tractor integrates technologies for configuring and controlling hydrogen fuel cell systems optimized for tractors, with Kubota's autonomous driving and remote operation technologies. Integrating these technologies required the team to rethink the tractor from the ground up. Although the autonomous FC tractor remains in the basic research stage, it reflects Kubota's commitment to advancing #CarbonNeutral agriculture and helping address labor shortages. Rather than limiting itself to a single solution or technology, Kubota continues to explore multiple pathways. By combining proven technologies with new energy concepts, Kubota seeks practical solutions that meet farmers' real-world needs. #ForEarthForLife
