In this Inside the Labs episode, Blandine Dumont, Scientist and Project Manager at KCAS Bio, introduces the Ella™ by Bio-Techne. Ella is an automated, high-throughput immunoassay platform. It runs several single-plex assays in parallel, so multiple cytokines can be tested at once with no risk of cross-contamination, using only a small volume of sample, which is a real advantage in pediatric studies for instance. Blandine shares how it recently delivered fast cytokine results on a Phase 3 study, giving the sponsor what they needed to move forward. The strongest RFPs do more than list assays, sample counts, and requested pricing. They give a bioanalytical CRO enough insight into the program to develop a meaningful proposal. And you don’t need to have every detail finalized before sending it. A well-structured RFP can help sponsors: • Get more accurate scope and pricing • Compare CRO proposals more effectively • Identify assumptions and potential risks earlier • Create space for the CRO to contribute scientific expertise • Align the bioanalytical strategy with the broader development program Our latest article breaks down what to include in a bioanalytical CRO RFP, how prescriptive to be about assay strategy, and what to do when key details are still evolving. Inside the Labs: FCS Express Consistency, compliance, and efficient data analysis are essential when generating reliable flow cytometry results. Nassouh Mourabet, Principal Scientist at KCAS Bio, explains how FCS Express strengthens our flow cytometry workflows with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, standardized batch processing, advanced calculations, and direct data exports to GraphPad Prism. By integrating these capabilities into our laboratory workflows, we support greater consistency across studies, reduce manual processing steps, and streamline data delivery for sponsors conducting GLP and non-GLP research. It used to be a simpler molecule. A single payload conjugated to an antibody. That's what we called an ADC. But the landscape has shifted. We're now seeing ADCs evolve from singular structures to branched payload architectures to bispecifics, where a single antibody carries multiple payloads conjugated to it. Our team at KCAS Bio is working on bispecific and even trispecific antibody-drug conjugates right now. Each one introduces new complexity in method development, from reagent selection to multiplexing strategies to validation timelines. The ADC market has widened significantly, and the types of molecules coming through the door require a fundamentally different bioanalytical approach than what worked five years ago. We recently sat down for a roundtable with SCIEX covering how we're approaching these evolving challenges across sample prep, multiplexing, and instrumentation. ➡️ Watch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gr3KsY97 Rathna Veeramachaneni, PhD

Our Inside the Labs series has already featured the Cytek Biosciences® Aurora in Philadelphia. This time, we're heading to our Lyon, France lab. Laurie BESSON, Scientist II at KCAS Bio Europe, walks you through the same spectral flow cytometry platform, capturing the full emission spectrum of each fluorochrome for high-parameter, detailed cell characterization. Laurie also shares how KCAS Bio operates six harmonized Cytek Auroras across three continents: two in France, two in the US, and two in Australia, with teams that actively collaborate to ensure sponsors get the same level of quality wherever their samples are analyzed. Does your biomarker data survive the trip from animal to patient? Your tox species is cyno, minipig, or dog. Your clinical team wants to know what the data means for patients. A few questions worth asking early: • Is your NK cell gate the same population in cyno and in human? • Is a "CD8+ T cell" count in minipig hiding a double-positive population? • Will your reagents work in the species you chose? We went through these species by species in our latest blog by Laurie BESSON: https://lnkd.in/dw9iS9a5 Worth a read before you lock your panel. #FlowCytometry #TranslationalResearch
