Greenyard Logistics Poland has taken a significant step towards more sustainable operations by installing almost 4 000 solar panels across its site. With a total capacity of almost 2 000 kW, the new installation now meets around 20% of the site’s electricity demand through renewable energy sources. The impact is already visible. Since becoming operational, the solar panels have helped to avoid 225 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and saved the equivalent of 189 tonnes of standard coal. This is a tangible investment in using resources more efficiently and reducing the environmental footprint of our operations. After all, building a healthier future also means continuously improving how we operate.

In our Behind the Greens series, we shine the spotlight on how we work closely with growers to ensure quality, continuity and sustainability. In the spotlight today: Regalys Regalys has been growing premium Belgian green asparagus in Gingelom for more than 20 years. Today, Stéphane Lejeune's family business combines generations of growing expertise with organic farming and a passion for one of the first fresh vegetables of the spring season in Belgium. Throughout the season, Regalys works closely with Bakker Belgium, from field visits and planning to aligning quality with market demand. This long-standing partnership helps ensure that locally grown asparagus reaches consumers at its best. Freshness really is a matter of hours. The asparagus is harvested by hand daily, then cooled, sorted, packed and delivered to the retailer. This is a great example of what our work is all about: growers, customers and Greenyard working together as an integrated supply chain to make high-quality fruit and vegetables available to consumers today and in the future.
