On October 8th Claude has introduced /Dashboards, a new feature that allows people to create interactive dashboards through a already known good old prompt. Using Claude dashboards with Fluix MCP makes your life significantly easier as a person working in field operations. For the sake of experiment I took our test environment with HSE data and ran our data collected in Fluix through the new dashboards feature. Is it a killer for PowerBI especially for Enterprise companies, certainly not (yet). Is it gonna make your life easier before a Monday meeting with the executive team 100%. Would be interesting to hear what Cam Stevens, Arianna Howard, Joe Gilliland have to say about this whole new Era of Data x AI. Are you guys seeing the shift in the industry or still everyone is running their operations like 10 years ago?

"Technicians are very protective of their experience. And they should be. They've earned it." That's Gyner Ozgul, CEO of Fortis Fire & Safety, on why senior specialists often see new technology as a threat, from his conversation with our Nick Larsen on the new Field Intelligence podcast. They also talk about training, rolling out new tech, and why the next five years could bring people back to the trades. Gyner, big thanks for an honest conversation. We learned a lot! The best SaaS products of the next five years will have fewer screens. MCP changed the question. If Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot can read your data and answer in plain English, a dashboard is a slower way to get the same answer. So the apps that win are turning into infrastructure. They hold the system of record, enforce permissions, and hand clean data to whatever AI the customer already uses. The UI shrinks to the parts a chat window can’t do. That’s the filter. If your product only displays data, a chat window will eat it. If it captures something nobody else can, it gets more valuable every time a model gets smarter. That’s the bet we’re making at Fluix. Our users inspect turbines, substations, equipment, vessels, etc, often with no signal. A tablet in a nacelle can’t run a model worth trusting with that work. The on-device models shipping today can summarize a note. They can’t reason across 4,000 inspection records (while offline). So we’re going all in on what a chat window can’t do: capturing data offline, at the asset, in a structure that holds up. Then cleaning and organizing it so the moment it syncs, an LLM can read it without anyone building a report first. Our MCP server already allows you to query live Fluix reports on your LLM of choice. Capture in the field. Structure on the way in. Let the model do the reading. Learn about it here --> https://fluix.io/blog/mcp

86 safety observations. 13 incidents. The sites with the fewest observations had the highest incident rates. My colleague Serhii Merkulov, a Solutions Architect at Fluix, built a demo project with two basic workflows: one for risk observations, one for incident reports. Different forms, different people, different days. That's how most HSE teams run them. Then he connected Claude to Fluix through our MCP connector (both Claude and Microsoft Copilot to test) and typed three prompts. Find both reports. Compare them and draw parallels. Turn it into a color PDF with charts. About 20 minutes later he had a report ready for a leadership review. No export, no pivot tables, no analyst. What came back (from our dummy data): * The leading indicator wasn't leading. Low-observation sites carried the most incidents. * Some hazard categories were rarely observed relative to the harm they caused. * Two factors turned ordinary exposure into severe outcomes. Neither form shows that on its own. You only see it when both datasets sit side by side and something asks the right question across them. The beauty of an MCP is the ability to connect multiple software, data sets or reports together and analyze the data; look for common trends. When your field / inspection / HSE infrastructure and data is on Fluix, that's exactly what we want you to do. Get better analysis, and then build the report. Joe Gilliland this is what we talked about too. :) Also shoutout to Arianna Howard, TJ Armic and Syncra Group. This conversation started with them. It went from automation, to PowerBI and now to MCP. No scanning. No re-keying handwritten notes back at the office. The report is done, signed, and synced before the crew even leaves the field.
