Join us for a webinar on how to scale regenerative agriculture globally! The food system is at the heart of many of the crises our society faces today. That means it is also at the heart of the solutions. But how do we shape these? Enviu hosts this webinar on the back of our issue analysis of the Dutch agrifood system. Havent read it yet? Check it out: https://lnkd.in/eXGq8Hym. Ill be exploring these questions together with pioneers who work on the forefront of the transition, each at a very different scale: 🌶️ With Gilmee Davidss of Verstegen Spices & Sauces, who advances regenerative global sourcing of herbs and spices. 🔗 With Puck de Bontt of Future Up, who connects the Dutch regenerative ecosystem and makes it work in practice. 🥕With Fennie Lansbergen of Oogst, who makes the transition real by providing offtake for local production at scale. What drives them? How do they look at regenerative, and does it even need to be regenerative? Why is it so hard to scale, which pieces of the puzzle are still missing, and how can we work together to complete it? Lets discover it together on Wednesday October 14th at 10:00. See you there! Over the past months, we’ve been digging into the Dutch agrifood system through our latest Issue Analysis, looking at what’s holding back the transition to a more regenerative food system and where we see opportunities to move things forward. Now, we want to zoom in further. Next Wednesday, October 14th, we’re bringing together three organisations (Verstegen Spices & Sauces, Future Up and Oogst) from different parts of the food system for a conversation about what it really takes to move regenerative agrifood beyond successful pilots and into lasting change. This 45 minute webinar will explore questions around markets, procurement, collaboration and entrepreneurship and, importantly, what different actors can do to help create the conditions for regenerative agriculture to scale. Will you join us? Register here.

Counter to what we tend to think, sometimes less tech, less artificial, and more natural is exactly what we need. For farmers dealing with depleted soil and unpredictable rain, the fix isn't new inputs. It is going back to practices that worked before chemical inputs took over. Yes, tech will help this scale. But it only works once farmers have a real path to transition: off synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, into something that holds up as the climate shifts. That's the case for Regenerative Agriculture. And it only works if there's a market paying a premium for it. That's what we've spent the last few years building: a financially viable transition, plus the market linkage to back it. Gladys Kanegeni, a farmer in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, is a good example. Her neighbours thought she was making a mistake. Through Zawiri Foods, she found a market that proved otherwise. She's now one of 1,200+ farmers in this model, and regenerative farmland has doubled in a year. Her story, in 5 minutes:
