Floods, wildfires, heatwaves. Europe is learning that resilience requires more than technology. In many parts of the Global South, communities have been building resilience for decades, often with low-tech, people-centered solutions: local sirens, radio alerts, community volunteers guiding evacuations. These systems may look simple, but they’re built on one powerful insight: 👉 Inclusion saves lives. Persons with disabilities are up to four times more likely to die in disasters, not because of the disaster itself, but because communication isn’t accessible enough. That’s why “Different Measures for Different Disasters” also means different formats for different people: • visual and auditory alerts • simple language and sign language • tactile feedback through devices At RSQnow and with the nora app, we’re translating these same principles into digital, high-tech environments combining innovation with accessibility to ensure no one is left behind. The technologies may differ, but the goal is the same everywhere: reliable, inclusive communication when every second counts. How can we make sure Europe’s next generation of warning systems learns from global best practices, not just from its own backyard? #Inclusion #Resilience #PublicSafety #EmergencyCommunication #Accessibility #RSQnow #noraApp #DigitalInclusion #DifferentMeasures #LeaveNoOneBehind #DisasterResponse #EUResilience

🇬🇧 Floods in Spain, wildfires in Greece, and recurring heatwaves across Southern Europe show just how urgent reliable communication has become. Having lived in Portugal for the past 2½ years, I’ve witnessed a range of extreme events — from intense heatwaves and strong winds fueling wildfires this summer, to the heavy rain and storms that marked the early months of 2025. Across Europe, resilience is becoming a priority. Countries like Spain, Portugal, and many others are strengthening their systems with: • Cell Broadcast • Sirens • Public Warning Apps • Accessibility standards for 112. Resilience means ensuring communication remains reliable, redundant, and inclusive — no matter the disaster. At RSQnow, this is our mission every day: helping communities stay connected when it matters most. How is your country building resilience against disasters? And how can we work together across borders to make every community safer? #RSQnow #EmergencyCommunication #Resilience #Accessibility #CrisisManagement #DisasterPreparedness #ComunicaciónDeEmergencia #Accesibilidad

When lives are on the line, reliability can’t be just a percentage in a service-level agreement ⚠️. What matters is whether the call for help always gets through – even in the middle of a disaster 🌪️. This whitepaper explores how layered redundancy, geographic distribution, and intelligent failover create a communication system that has delivered seamless service for more than three years ✅ – with not a single second of downtime and not a single call missed 📞. If your responsibility is to keep people safe 🛡️, you’ll want to see how true resilience is engineered – and why public safety networks must be designed to withstand any failure, at any time. 👉 Download the whitepaper and discover how redundancy builds trust into every call.
