The NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL operate in a very different sponsorship market from Europe’s Big Five football leagues. But money is being left on the table in both. Join us on November 19th at 18:00 BST / 10:00 PST for a 25-minute webinar to find out where. Ampere Analysis Research Manager Ed Keppie will draw on sponsorship and consumer data across all nine leagues to show: → How team sponsorship revenue compares across the leagues, and how evenly it is shared → Whether North American or European fans are more receptive to sponsors → Which sectors are driving new deals in 2026 → Where sponsor spend is out of step with what fans plan to buy, and which sectors to prioritise → How much more teams could earn from underused assets, from training ground naming rights to jersey patches Whether you work for a club, a league, an agency or a brand, you’ll leave with a clearer view of where sponsorship opportunities are in the biggest leagues on both sides of the Atlantic. 👉 Register here: https://lnkd.in/eCQb-w5p #SportsBusiness #Sponsorship #SportsData

Before I joined Ampere Analysis four years ago, I had never heard of DAZN. As a sports fan in the UK that has never watched a boxing match in her life, there wasn't really any reason why I would have. But now there is barely a week that goes by where I don't hear of some new development from the streamer and sometimes it's a daily occurrence! Even in those four years I've noticed how much it's changed. So with this year marking ten years since DAZN first launched, for my latest report I've taken a look at how it has diversified over that time, where it has opportunities to grow and how it is adapting to the challenges it faces. From initially launching in core markets with a focus on top tier competitions, it has evolved its sports rights strategy to include more global deals in a wider range of sports. Yet, as the below chart from the report shows, in 2026, its spend is still dominated by its three biggest European markets - Italy, Spain and Germany. If you're interested in reading the full report, please do get in touch with me or via [email protected]

The Big Five streamers (Netflix, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, Disney+, HBO MAX TV, and Paramount+) commissioned more titles in H1 2026 than in any half-year since the start of 2024, outpacing a wider market that has stayed broadly flat. So what’s behind this? 📈 Commissions from the Big Five rose 11% year on year, from 579 to 644 titles. 🎬 Netflix accounted for more than half of these commissions. ✍️Scripted is back on the ascendancy. Scripted titles made up 58% of commissions, their highest share since the Peak TV years 🔪 Crime and thriller overtook documentary as the most-commissioned genre. 🌏 Asia Pacific now accounts for over a fifth of Big Five commissioning and South Korea has overtaken the UK as Netflix’s second-largest commissioning market This data comes from the latest edition of our bi-annual Big 5 SVOD report, which tracks key indicators such as subscribers, ad tier uptake, content spend, commissioning activity across these services.
