Mexico has 300+ certified aerospace companies. Safran, Bombardier, GE Aviation, and Airbus aren't there because Mexico is cheap. They're there because the ecosystem — AS9100 talent, certified clusters, USMCA logistics — already works. The infrastructure exists. The question is why more companies haven't moved yet. We cover the full picture in this week's piece. Learn more → https://lnkd.in/gugirQxQ #AerospaceManufacturing #MexicoAerospace #SupplyChain #Farnborough2026 #USMCA #Manufacturin

Most aerospace executives are surprised when they see the numbers. Mexico is a top 10 global aerospace exporter. Over 300 certified companies. 12 clusters strategically distributed across the country. More than 70,000 direct jobs in the sector. Safran, Bombardier, Honeywell, GE Aviation, Airbus — they didn't go to Mexico to test the waters. They went because the ecosystem was already there. What makes it work: → AS9100-certified talent, trained specifically for aerospace production → USMCA integration — the closest certified supply chain hub to the North American market → Clusters built around specific capabilities: precision components in Querétaro, advanced manufacturing in Monterrey, electronics and avionics in Baja California, machined parts in Chihuahua → 20+ years of industrial policy focused on building a real aerospace base — not a marketing pitch The question stopped being "can Mexico do aerospace?" a long time ago. The real question now is: why aren't more companies already there? We dig into the numbers and the ecosystem in our latest piece. Not every company felt the disruption the same way. The ones that held up had something in common: certified regional capacity — close to their customers, already qualified, ready to run. In aerospace, you can't improvise. AS9100 certification. Full traceability. Process approvals. Qualifying a new supplier takes 12 to 18 months minimum. There is no fast pivot. Meanwhile, OEMs are pushing harder on regional integration. The pressure is real — and the certified capacity to meet it is scarce. This is the constraint reshaping aerospace supply chains right now. At Farnborough 2026, it takes center stage. Learn more → https://lnkd.in/gSK827N5 #AerospaceManufacturing #SupplyChain #Farnborough2026 #RegionalManufacturing #AS9100 #SupplyChainResilience
